Description
My spacious house, Harmony, is situated in ‘De Harmonie’ neighborhood. This part of Antwerp is known for its mansions and several small parks. The neighborhood was developed in the late nineteenth century; many affluent German traders and industrialist had a city palace, mansion or villa here. Hence, the area is also called ‘De Duitse Hoek’ or ‘The German Area’. De Harmonie is a centrally located and quiet neighborhood. Close by, you have public transport (bike sharing, tram, busses), several fine restaurants and shops. It is short walk from Het Zuid where you can visit various museums and stroll past the river Scheldt. It takes ten to fifteen minutes to reach the old city center and several other parts of the city.
Guests have a spacious room furnished with a closet, double bed, a desk, et cetera. There is a separate toilet and bathroom (bath and shower). You can share the kitchen, the living room, a washing machine, and the garden with the host. If needed you can store items in the basement. The house has solar panels and isolating windows, we sort trash, and opt for sustainable and healthy food. Extra’s – wifi, utilities, cleaning, taxes – are included in the price. Harmony tries to be a queer-friendly environment, open to people with different orientations and cultural backgrounds. Respect is key! The venue is also interesting for who needs a longer stay, for instance business persons, people from the cultural sector, academics, or anyone else. For details, please send me a pm.
